GILEF Celebrates Ebunoluwa as Volunteer of the Month

God is Love Educational Foundation (GILEF) has named Miss Ebunoluwa Oluwadarasimi Akinmurele as its Volunteer of the Month for February 2026. Join us in celebrating her dedication, consistency, and contributions to GILEF’s mission of growth and impact on the younger generation.

Ebunoluwa, from Ondo State, is currently serving in Nasarawa State. A devoted Christian and active GILEF member, she joined the organisation in 2025 seeking personal growth.

According to her, the decision to join GILEF was driven by a personal need for growth and self-improvement. She explained that she once struggled with timidity and found it difficult to speak up, but she was determined to become a better version of herself.

“I wanted to build myself,” she said. “I used to be a timid person who didn’t like talking, but I wanted to grow and become the best version of myself.”

Her journey with GILEF began after she saw information about the organisation on the President’s social media handle, which highlighted its focus on creating impact. Inspired by the vision, she decided to be a part of the moving train.

Within the organisation, Ebunoluwa serves on the Publicity Team, where she helps promote GILEF’s activities and initiatives. Reflecting on her experience so far, she described it as transformative. She noted that volunteering with GILEF has helped her develop new skills and confidence.

One notable moment came when she was asked to prepare a presentation. Initially unsure how to proceed, she sought guidance from her team lead, who introduced her to proper usage of Microsoft PowerPoint. Through additional learning from online videos, she completed the presentation excellently.

Her newly acquired skills have already proven useful beyond the organisation. While serving in Nasarawa, she recounted an opportunity where someone needed a person skilled in using PowerPoint– a paid opportunity she was able to pursue thanks to the training and exposure she gained through GILEF.

Being named GILEFite of the Month came as a surprise to her, but she described it as a strong source of motivation.

“It makes me feel motivated. It’s an encouragement to do more,” she said. “I wasn’t expecting it, but I believe my attendance and active participation in the organisation played a role.”

Despite her commitment, balancing responsibilities has not always been easy. She admitted that one of her most challenging tasks has been consistently sharing opportunities on the WhatsApp Community page while managing other responsibilities, such as her place of primary assignment and her baking business. However, she has continued to push through the challenges while maintaining her involvement in the organisation.

Asked about the most important value she has gained from GILEF, Ebunoluwa pointed to growth. She also encouraged other members and prospective volunteers to remain focused on their purpose within the organisation.

She advised, “Know the reason you joined the organisation and always remember it. Be consistent and committed”.

For anyone considering joining GILEF, her message is simple but powerful: the organisation is about fulfilling purpose and making meaningful impact.

“We are created by God for a purpose, and as we fulfil it, we are making an impact,” she said.

Through members like Ebunoluwa, GILEF continues to nurture individuals who are committed to growth, service, and positive change in their communities.
